Pork Tenderloin Marinade - Excellent and Easy Recipe

By

As a native Mississippian, not only can I list famous people from my often misunderstood home state, but I can also cook like a true Southern gal. If you enjoy lean and flavorful meat dishes, then you need to try this excellent and easy recipe for pork tenderloin marinade.

With this weapon in your cooking arsenol, you will be the envy of all of your neighbors at the pool cookout. And, the great thing about a marinade is that you should prepare it the night before you cook the meat, so you will have the work done ahead of time.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: Varies but about 35 minutes in oven or on grill

Ingredients for marinade:

  • 1/4 cup of regular or light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 green onion, chopped

Directions:

Combine all marinade ingredients in a small jar or medium-sized bowl. Mix well.

Place the pork tenderloin in a baking dish. Pour the marinade over the meat. Cover with wrap or tin foil and chill in the refrigerator overnight. Occasionally pull out the dish and scoop more marinade over the meat.

When ready to cook the tenderloin, remove from the marinade. Then prepare according to your preference, by grilling for about 25 -30 minutes or in the oven (cook uncovered in a baking dish for 25-35 minutes at 375 degrees).

One additional option is to wrap the pork tenderloin with slices of bacon before cooking. This adds a wonderful smoky flavor.

This recipe for pork tenderloin marinade rocks, and this is coming from someone who is not easily pleased!

Hope you enjoy.

I just made this recipe. It turned out great! Thank you. I had to make some substitutions. I did not have any honey on hand, so i used a left over packet of KFC BBQ sauce (which tastes like honey to me). For green onion, I used thinly sliced white onion. I also cooked the pork at 425 for 25 minutes, as we are always a little weary of under cooked pork. I served it on top of some jasmine rice and presto. My significant other is picky, but he liked it. I did not have the chance to marinate the pork for hours. I would say it marinated for 45 minutes and it was great. Thanks again. It smelled lovely too.
